This panel includes: CBC/CHEMISTRY PROFILE The CBC/Chemistry profile includes a complete blood count (CBC) to indicate heart and metabolic health as well as immune health, and platelets for clotting status as well as hemoglobin for oxygen-carrying capacity. The chemistry panel measures glucose levels, electrolytes, important liver enzymes, kidney markers, calcium, and uric acid levels. LIPID PANEL The lipid panel measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL, and triglycerides. APOLIPOPROTEIN B (Apo B) Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is the main protein constituent of all non-HDL cholesterol in your blood. This test measures potential plaque-forming particles in your blood. The higher your ApoB the higher your risk of future cardiovascular events. C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) The C-reactive protein (CRP) blood test measures the level of systemic inflammation, that can indicate the status of your heart health. Elevated CRP over longer periods is associated with increased risk of several diseases as well as cancer. Together, these tests are the core essentials to provide information about your potential cardiovascular risk. This test may be done fasting or a couple hours after eating as well as being hydrated. |
